Anywhere between 1/100 and 1/133 people have celiac disease; many more either have gluten intolerance, gluten sensitivity or allergy, or eat gluten free because they think it's healthier. Either way, it's important for those who eat gluten free to be heard, and make changes in the choices available that are vital to their health. Enjoy the articles on the "activism, gluten free style" page! Please write me for any suggestions/story ideas, at gfsafari at proton dot com. Thanks!

* This site is not intended as medical advice, as I am neither a doctor or nutritionist. You or anyone else should not rely on it for medical advice. I have sought to include links to websites which are more authoritative with regard to specific lists of ingredients which do and do not include gluten, etc. Having said that, however, as the science of gluten intolerance and potential treatments is evolving rapidly, I have sought to include links to new and fascinating information as I learn it. -Karen |
